Cloud Services for Dental Practices

Moving the right systems to the cloud can cut hardware, improve resilience and let staff work securely from anywhere. We design, migrate and manage cloud and virtualised infrastructure for dental practices and groups across AWS, Azure and private cloud — and we will tell you honestly which parts of your practice belong there and which are better kept on site.

Cloud-hosted and virtual servers

Not every practice needs a physical server humming away in a cupboard. We can virtualise your server estate and host it in the cloud, removing ageing hardware, simplifying maintenance, and making it far easier to scale as you grow or acquire new sites. Where a local server still makes sense — for example to keep your digital imaging and DPMS fast on site — we can virtualise it locally and replicate to the cloud for resilience, giving you the best of both.

Public and private cloud, AWS and Azure

We have experience across the major public cloud platforms, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure, as well as private cloud hosting where data residency or performance demands it. For a group, this means a consistent, centrally managed platform across every site; for a single practice, it means enterprise-grade infrastructure without the enterprise overhead. We will help you shape a cloud strategy that fits your clinical software, your compliance obligations and your budget.

Cloud backup and disaster recovery

The cloud is where a robust backup and disaster recovery strategy comes into its own. We can hold secure, encrypted, off-site copies of your data, with rapid recovery if hardware fails, ransomware strikes, or a site is lost entirely. Combined with cloud-replicated servers, this can take recovery times from days to hours, keeping surgeries running when it matters most.

Is the cloud right for your practice?

We are not dogmatic about it. Dental practices have particular constraints — large digital imaging files, latency-sensitive DPMS software, and patient data that must be handled correctly — so a blanket "move everything to the cloud" is rarely the right answer. We will audit what you run, weigh up cost, performance, resilience and compliance, and recommend the right mix of on-site, hybrid and cloud. Book a call and we'll talk it through.
