Telephone Systems

Dental IT Limited contractors can programme and service telephone systems from a wide variety of manufacturers, including Panasonic, Siemens, and BT. However, where a telephone system is being installed new, or where your current telephone system is due for replacement, we recommend moving to an IP (Internet Protocol) based system.

This provides ten times the power of a traditional system, often at a third of the cost!

IP systems cost around the same as a traditional phone system to install, but are hugely more powerful, and the ongoing costs of the calls can be a fraction of this price. Your staff will appreciate not having to set answer machines up manually, and your patients will benefit from better and more professional communications, such as:

  • Music on hold
  • Call queuing
  • Auto attendant (with automatic out of hours messages)
  • Voicemail
  • Voicemail to email
  • Hold/transfer/blind transfer
  • Busy/divert
  • Call recording

In a recent analysis of a typical busy NHS dental practice comparing an Internet trunk vs a standard BT business tariff, the Internet calling plan was one third of the cost of the BT line. Furthermore, Internet lines are only limited by bandwidth, and it costs no more to have 3 outbound Internet lines, than to have one.
